Abstract
The microwave power treatment unit is based on direct transfer of microwave energy and selective absorption of microwaves in processing materials. The characteristics of selectivity and direct transfer induce a considerable energy saving with respect to classical technologies, but it depends on the nature of the mixture.

The working parameters (total time of treatment, power level, efficiency (%) are set up on the interactive panel/display at the microcontroller unit or recalled from a PC database. This device is used as a basic tool for the research dealing with processing of condensed matter in microwave fields, especially for chemical synthesis and solid probe preparation for analysis.
